Reconstruct parametric CAD with feature trees from drawings or scanned meshes; output editable native geometry or STEP through a Fusion add-in or web app.
Overview
Backflip’s Drawing-to-CAD reads geometry and dimensions from engineering drawings to reconstruct editable parametric models. Scan-to-CAD accepts meshes such as STL, OBJ, GLB, GLTF and PLY and produces a native feature tree or STEP. The current surfaces are an Autodesk Fusion add-in and a standalone web app, optimized for 3-axis CNC and turned parts. Onshape support, sheet metal and injection-molding workflows are planned. Dimensions, tolerances and machining suitability still require engineering review.
