## Overview

Qwen Code is an open-source development agent that works on project code through terminal, editor and other clients. Memory, skills, subagents and MCP organize context and tool use. Connections support multiple provider protocols and configurable local services such as Ollama or vLLM. It is a development tool distinct from Qwen Chat and the Qwen model family; model capabilities depend on the connected service.
